Our Training Tips

When you get a puppy from us, you will receive a thorough packet to help you continue with the recall, kennel training, etc, that we began at our home to help ensure your puppy will develop and grow in the best way possible!

Our puppies come to you almost completely potty trained, leash trained, kennel trained, knowing how to sit and other basic manners, plus more!

Please remember, each time a puppy enters a new environment (like coming to your home), they will have to learn a new routine. Potty accidents are normal and with routine and positive reinforcement, potty training in your home will come quick.

We do recommend anyone who is a first time dog owner to do research and find a local trainer that will work with you on how to teach your dog.

While many breeders recommend not taking your puppy out in public until they have had all their shots... we at Foothill Aussies actually believe it's very important to expose them to other dogs, people, locations, etc, while they are young to help their little brains develop properly.

Of course, be mindful, and try to keep them away from grass and gravel to protect them from harmful diseases.

The early stages of a dog's life are very important, and you won't be able to get the special developmental time back.

We are a loving and responsible Australian Shepherd, Aussiedoodle, and Poodle breeding program based in Northern California.

Our passion is breeding service, therapy, and companion dogs in LOVING guardian homes, instead of kennels, that typically have a lower drive and energy that is great for the family home.

We do our best to surpass our clients' expectations by fully developing the puppies in our program in every way possible through our unique and thorough puppy curriculum.

Our specialty is matching each family to the very best puppy for their specific needs!  Welcome to our unique program.
