Hi,  I'm Rosie!

Hi, I’m Rosie! I’m about 30 pounds of lively, curious energy. I’m always aware of what’s happening around me — every sound, every smell, every little detail. If it squeaks, it’s probably my favorite toy, and I’ll never say no to a good bone or some peanuts.

I’m a total cuddle bug at heart. I could spend all day curled up on the couch or in the lap of my favorite people. In the evenings, when everyone settles in, that’s when I’m happiest. I bounce from person to person, climbing into laps and gazing up with all the love in my heart. Being close to my family makes me feel safe and complete.

I love being outdoors, especially going on walks where I can investigate every interesting scent I come across. I’m pretty good on the leash, though sometimes my curiosity gets the best of me and I accidentally tangle myself up while trying to explore everything at once. When I’m off leash, I love to run and play — especially with my big sister, Callie. There’s nothing better than stretching my legs and feeling free.

I can be a little wary of new people and dogs. I’m not aggressive — I just get nervous and might step back or bark if someone gets too close too quickly. I’m still learning that the world isn’t so scary. The truth is, I really want to be loved. Even when I feel unsure, I try my best to work through my fears because affection means everything to me.

One of my favorite memories was my first trip to the snow on New Year’s Eve. At first, I was cautious — everything felt so new and strange. But once I realized how fun it was, I started bounding through the snow like a little deer, jumping in and out of soft piles and popping back up again. I probably looked completely silly, but I loved every second of it — especially all the attention and laughter from my family.

I may be sensitive and a little anxious at times, but I’m bright, willing to learn, and full of love. All I really want is to feel safe, be close to my people, and share my whole heart with them.
