She loves to cuddle, enjoys being close, and is happiest as a lap dog with someone she trusts. While she is sweet and devoted to her inner circle, Purdy is more reserved and cautious with new people and unfamiliar situations due to limited early socialization. She can be vocal and sensitive, especially when separated or unsure, and will need continued guidance to build confidence. Purdy does well with dogs overall, though she can guard food, and she has a high prey drive, so supervision around small animals is important. She is smart, knows a few basic commands, and enjoys routine, making her a great fit for a patient home that understands her need for structure, consistency, and trust-building.
