What is Extended Training?

Our Extended Training Program is a board & train designed to give your puppy a strong foundation before coming home. During this program, your puppy stays with one of our professional trainers, learning essential skills such as potty training, crate comfort, basic commands, and early socialization. While your puppy develops confidence, manners, and good habits, you enjoy a smoother, less stressful transition into life together.
Available in Southern CA and Northern CA - space limited.

Puppy Prep Program

Training Fee $1,700
Go home at 10 weeks

2 extra weeks with one of our trainers to ease the transition and build a solid foundation:
- Structured daily routines
- Focused crate training (quiet time + sleeping overnight)
- Alone time in a playpen
- Positive exposure to novel environments
- Name recognition, sit, down, wait, touch, watch me/focus, intro to recall
- Calm behavior reinforcement
- Car rides and meeting new people
- Continue grooming and all over touch

Polished Pup Program

Training Fee $3,400
Go home at 12 weeks

Boost your puppy’s confidence and manners with extended time and exposure:
Everything in Puppy Prep plus:
- Starting leash manners
- Recall practice
- Longer duration of sit, down, wait, stay
- Drop it, place, side
- Continued exposure to new environments
- Continued potty training
- Handling for vet/groomer prep
- Exposure to other dogs and crowds
- At least one fun trick – shake, crawl, roll over

Pro Pup Program

Training Fee Starting at $4,250
Go home after 13 weeks (length of stay TBD)

Pre-teen puppy skills that make daily life smoother:
· Everything in Puppy Prep & Polished Pup plus:
- Longer duration with stay/wait
- Recall practice
- Loose leash walking
- Greeting people without jumping
- Strong handler focus outdoors
- Pre-CGC skills without formal testing
- Another fun trick (TBD)

Depending on length of stay, additional items can be included like:

· Practicing calm behavior around distractions and other dogs
· Enroll puppy in group training class for socialization (Puppy, intermediate, CGC etc.)
· Strong handler focus outdoors
· Pre-CGC skills without formal testing
· Off-site training sessions in new public settings
· Training for sit/stay/down in high-distraction areas
· If older than 6 months, CGC completion
· Personalized transition and training handoff to your family

Important Note: Even with any level of prep, your puppy is still a puppy — and adolescence comes with new challenges (fear stages, confidence dips, and testing boundaries).

To stay on track, families must continue training immediately after go-home. We’ll help set you up for success with trainer referrals or virtual support, but consistency is key to maintaining progress.
