Hi, I'm Charlie! |

Hi, I’m Charlie, and I’m just over a year—but don’t let my age fool you, I’ve already got a lot figured out. I’m energetic, loving, and always curious about everything. Mornings are my favorite—I head straight outside to explore the backyard and check on all the smells and sounds. Once the sun starts heating things up, I’m back inside, following my person from room to room, ready to "help" with the day. Whether we’re making the bed, cooking meals, or doing office work, I’m right there... usually resting at their feet or wagging my tail with excitement.
My favorite toy is a stuffed lamb (it’s the best!) and duck jerky is my ultimate treat. I have a dog door, so I come and go as I please, and I really love the rain—especially when it means I can dig in the mud. I’m not sure my human loves wiping me off every time, but I think it’s worth it. I’m also very enthusiastic about the cats in the house—maybe a little too enthusiastic—but I’m just trying to be friends! They’re not convinced, so we’ve got a baby gate system they can slip under when they need a break from me. I greet everyone with so much joy (sometimes a little too much at first), but once I settle, I’m a great companion for visitors. I snuggle hard, play hard, and love even harder. My human says I’m special because I have a tail that wags every time I hear their voice—none of their Aussies ever had a tail before, so mine gets lots of compliments. I'm just happy to be loved... and to carry my stuffed lamb around while I follow my favorite person through the house. When I meet new people, I can be a little unsure at first, but give me a minute and I’ll warm up—I’m just making sure you’re cool before I go full wiggle mode. Dogs? I love dogs! Especially when they’re up for a game of tag. But truthfully, my happiest moments are simple: being outside with Pixie or snuggling up with my human. I’m a total lap pup and, if I really love you, I’ll climb up, wrap my paws around your neck, and give you a good ol’ Purdy hug. That’s my way of saying, “You’re mine.” Embark Genetics |
