We are a loving, responsible, Australian Shepherd, Aussiedoodle and Poodle speciality breeding program based in Northern California. Our passion is breeding service, therapy and companion dogs that typicallly have a lower drive and balanced energy that is great for the family home. We do our best to surpass our clients' expectations by developing the puppies in our program in every way possible through our unique and thorough puppy curriculum.

At only 7 years old Aubrey was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma. She is fighting hard, but each day is tougher than the last. Aubrey loves animals—she once wanted to be a veterinarian, and after meeting several therapy dogs in the hospital, she now dreams of becoming a dog trainer. The Cancer Support Team has recommended a dog to give Aubrey something positive to focus on, and Foothill Aussies is honored to stand with her family, be apart of her journey, and help raise the funds they need to keep moving forward. What do you get when you adopt from Foothill Aussies?
Through our program, puppies receive a full vetting, microchip and a temperament test that provides a snapshot of their personality. Puppies start both potty training and crate training which helps with an easier transition in their new homes. Each puppy goes through a variety of socialization practices which helps with their confidence level. Puppies come home with a starter kit of goodies and a full packet of helpful tips including a socialization scavenger hunt. You’ll also receive ongoing support, including a free virtual consult with one of our trainers to help set you up for success with your new puppy. We invite each of our families to join a litter specific facebook page, so you can post your questions, post updates and enjoy watching their siblings grow up too. For families wanting an extra head start, we also offer optional training add-ons where your puppy can stay with us a bit longer to participate in our structured training programs.

Creating the best possible dog is our ultimate goal. Whether the dog is destined to work as a service dog, volunteer as a therapy dog, or live life as a beloved family pet, thorough socialization is key. To ensure every puppy is set up for success, we've developed a special puppy curriculum that we follow with each litter.

ApplyWe require each of our potential puppy parents to complete a quick puppy application, which helps us get to know you better and understand what you’re looking for in a puppy.

InterviewWe’ll schedule an appointment to connect and review your application, discuss what you’re looking for, share how we raise our puppies, and answer all of your questions. If you’re interested in our optional extra training add-on, we can also go over the details during this time, as spaces are limited.

Retainer FeeTo reserve a Foothill puppy, we require a retainer fee. This fee holds your spot on our waitlist, covers screening and administrative time, and will be applied to the final purchase price.
